When I start working with a new group of students, I always enjoy making them laugh when I suggest that SUCCESS begins with ‘U’.

Some of them start to protest that I don’t know how to spell, while others groan. Most roll their eyes when they get the pun.

The laughter and teasing immediately elevates the level of positive energy in the room. The students will suddenly sit up in anticipation- – alert and ready to learn — wondering what I might say or do next to challenge their thinking and assumptions.

That’s why, SUCCESS begins with YOU.

Nobody else is going to do this work for you. This is about challenging yourself. YOUR thinking, YOUR assumptions and figuring out for yourself what things you can change now, and what things you want to be able to do later.
